Main duties of the job

Here at Defence Primary Healthcare (DPHC), we are an inclusive and dedicated organisation working to provide excellent care to our entitled personnel.

You will be maintaining the standard and cleanliness of the surgery and accommodation for which you are responsible, reporting any deficiencies and following local protocols.

Also providing clinical and administrative support for the provision of dental care in DPHC dental centres, enhancing force generation and operational capability and minimising dental morbidity on operations.

Job responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

  • Undertaking Continuous Professional Development in the core subject of medical emergencies, infection prevention control, disinfection and decontamination, radiography, and radiation protection, legal and ethical issues and handling complaints, as recommended by the General Dental Council
  • Managing the hastening, receipt, dispatch, and documentation of dental prosthetic appliances, ensuring timely appointments for patients
  • Ensuring their surgeries are prepared appropriately for the days patients in accordance with current regulations
  • Casting, trimming and preparing dental models, dispatching all items of laboratory work in accordance with current Infection Prevention and Control, Infection Prevention and Control policy and administrative procedures
