Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will provide expert clinical
advice, leadership and support ensuring the needs of the service are met by
exercising and demonstrating high levels of clinical judgement, critical
analysis and decision-making skills.
The successful candidate will be confident in working autonomously with remote General Practitioner support and supervising Royal Navy Medical Assistants.

Job responsibilities
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Providing safe, evidence-based, cost-effective and individualised patient care.
- Coordinating the development of plans to meet the health needs of patients including diagnostic tests, treatment plans, health promotion and prevention.
- Undertaking technical nursing treatments and procedures for patients complex/specialist healthcare needs (e.g., wound care, sutures removal, electrocardiograms, Cytology, Audiometry, Ear Care).
- Supporting the development and delivery of specialist services, such as long-term disease management (i.e., diabetes, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, hypertension).

All employees joining Ministry of Defence who are new to the Civil Service will be subject to a 6-month probation period (unless otherwise advised) effective from the employment start date.
