Main duties of the job
The successful postholder will provide clinical support to the Defence Global Practice (DGP) and the Global
Medical Supportability Cell (GMSC) in the
delivery of safe and appropriate healthcare to the Global Defence Network.

Job responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
- Providing clinical leadership on the management of all complex medical pre-screening and overseas supportability cases.
- Understanding and communicating individual health need risk assessments and communicate supportability decisions to individuals and CoC.
- Providing reach back general healthcare advice and support to all patients registered on the Global Virtual Practice during normal working hours.
- Undertaking Joint Medical Employment Standard (JMES) reviews appropriately and communicate these effectively to relevant personnel.
- Providing appropriate preventative medical advice to both individuals and Chain of Command and be involved in the communication of National health service (NHS) screening programmes to overseas Personnel at Risk (PAR).
- Acting as Point of Contact (POC) for clinical Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) within the Practice.
