Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will be supporting the delivery of a peripatetic occupational health service within an area of responsibility. The post holder will provide specialist, person-centred care which considers safety, privacy and dignity using advanced clinical knowledge.

This role is offered at 37.5 hours per week. Requests to work flexibly will be considered but must fit with the business needs.

Job responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Supportingthe delivery of a peripatetic occupational health (OH) service within an area of responsibility.
  • Providing specialist, person-centred care which considers safety, privacy and dignity using advanced clinical knowledge.
  • The post holder will be accountable and responsible for providing a proactive, evidence based OH service
  • Delivering OH care for the Defence service population, liaising with the chain of command (CoC), single services (sS) and other specialist Defence Primary Healthcare (DPHC) pillars.
  • Supporting change, monitor and improve clinical standards through supervision, evidence-based practice, clinical audit, research, and education thus maximising OH outputs and optimising Service Personnels (SP) employability / deployability.
  • The post holder will work in support of Commander (Comd) Defence Healthcare Recovery Group (DHRG) to manage OH services in support of the population at risk within DPHC.
