We are looking for a highly skilled Band 6 Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist who has experience of assessing and treating musculoskeletal disorders, sports injuries, and orthopaedic conditions to join our encouraging and welcoming team at the Primary Care Rehabilitation Facility (PCRF), Royal Naval Air Station (RNAS) Culdrose, Helston. The post holder will also be required to undertake routine work in the PCRF at Royal Air force (RAF) St Mawgan Medical Centre.

Main duties of the job
The successful post holder will be expected to give full support to the Principal Medical Officer (PMO)
within the Primary Care Rehabilitation Facility (PCRF) in ensuring the provision of a comprehensive and
professional Physiotherapy/ Rehabilitation service for entitled personnel. This will include undertaking
highly skilled and specialist work in the musculoskeletal/ sports injuries area as well as being part of a
multidisciplinary team providing rehabilitation to patients. The work will be primarily clinical but
administrative and other professional activities will need to be undertaken as required.

Main duties of this role will include but not be limited to:
- Performing physiotherapeutic assessment of patients referred by Consultants, General Practitioners and other Healthcare Professionals with diverse presentations and complex and acute/chronic physical and psychological conditions, multiple trauma and sports injuries. Using clinical reasoning skills to provide an accurate clinical diagnosis.
- Formulating, developing and delivering a specialised individualised treatment program using evidence-based practice, manual assessment, and appropriate clinical reasoning.
- Communicating effectively with patients to ensure informed consent for assessment and treatment, good understanding of their conditions and maximising their rehabilitation potential. Responsibility for the safe and competent use of all electrotherapy and gym equipment, patient appliances and aids and ensure that other members of the multi-disciplinary team attain competence prior to use.
- Identifying and reporting work service requirements and repair needs within the department. The clinical education, supervision and support of more junior colleagues and students, providing a positive work environment.
- Assisting with specialised assessments of more complex conditions and ensuring that caseloads are managed at an appropriate level.
