Hereford.
Defence Primary Healthcare (DPHC) are dedicated to providing
excellent care to our Armed Forces. PCRF Hereford are looking for MSK
Physiotherapists to join us as part of our interdisciplinary team of
Physiotherapists, sports therapists, Mental Health Nurses, and Occupational
therapists, alongside our PHC team.
This vacancy is a part-time position (15 hours per week).
Days/hours of work will be negotiated for the part-time role.

Main duties of the job
The
successful applicant will join a highly motivated team to develop, provide and
optimise soldier performance, working collaboratively with the
interdisciplinary medical and human performance team. This position will
underpin strategies to minimise time-loss and maximise return to duty.

To have professional and legal accountability to
the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) Standards of Practice, Health
Professions Council Standards of Proficiency, Conduct, Performance and Ethics,
Ministry of Defence (MoD) local policies and tort law in all aspects of
practice.

Perform highly skilled physiotherapeutic
assessments arranged by direct access and referral from PHC and other
Healthcare Professionals with diverse presentations, complex and acute/chronic
physical conditions and sports injuries.

Strong clinical reasoning skills to provide an
accurate clinical diagnosis.

Formulating, developing, and delivering
specialised and individualised treatment programmes based upon evidence-based
practice, manual assessment, and appropriate clinical reasoning.

Communicating effectively with patients to
ensure informed consent for assessment and treatment, good understanding of
their conditions and maximising their rehabilitation potential. Informing
managers of the occupational limitations of their injuries.

Delivering training both within the service and
to other healthcare professionals as appropriate.
