Main duties of the job

We are seeking a highly motivated CMP who will be responsible for delivering a clinical service to patients registered with the practice, to include both military and where applicable their dependent families as well as other entitled personnel. You will be working within a multi-disciplinary team alongside Nurses, Physiotherapists and Pharmacy Technicians. As our successful candidate, you should be an efficient and supportive asset to the team. This means being able to provide safe and appropriate medical advice, whilst being expected to carry out associated administrative tasks in accordance with MOD policy and General Medical Council (GMC) standards.

Main duties of the role include but are not limited to:

  • Providing primary and occupational Healthcare in line with General Medical Council (GMC) Standards.
  • Mentoring of junior personnel, helping to ensure that their training needs, as defined in the Practice Development Plan, are met and that any shortfalls are identified and addressed.
  • Maximising the levels of health, wellbeing, and employability of Service personnel to ensure the needs of the single Services are met.
  • Undertaking mandatory medical examinations and providing appropriate occupational healthcare and advice, and all supporting administrative duties.
  • Providing appropriate preventative medical advice to both individuals and Chain of Command.
