Job responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities for the role include but are not limited to:

• Ensuring the surgeries are prepared appropriately for the days patients in accordance with current regulations.
• Carrying out and recording daily maintenance, servicing and pre-user checks of dental equipment reporting defects in accordance with current equipment care policies, completing daily forms for all equipment.
• Ensuring a daily test radiograph is taken and processed with all findings reported in accordance with extant policies and signed off by a clinician or trained individual.
• Maintaining the standard and cleanliness of the surgery and accommodation for which they are responsible, reporting any deficiencies in accordance with local protocols.

Additional Information:

There is no requirement to deploy as this is met by our uniformed personnel, but you will form the continuity of care required by our patients when based at home.

Due to COVID 19, there is now a requirement for dental clinical staff to be fit tested for a FFP3 mask, which has to be worn when managing a patient who is undergoing an aerosol generating procedure (AGP) the successful candidate will be fit tested prior to commencing employment.

In-line with the NHS England approach, MOD is in the process of making full vaccination a condition of deployment for its healthcare workers employed across the UK. • Qualified to the National Examination Board of Dental Nurses (NEBDN) or National Vocational Qualification in Oral Healthcare Dental Nursing Level 3.
