We are looking for a friendly and well organised Band 4 Registered Civilian Dental Nurse to join our team atDISC, Chicksands, Shefford, Bedfordshire, SG17 5PR.

The post is offering 37.5 hours. Please note requests to work flexibly and/or part time will be considered, taking into account business needs.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will be providing clinical and administrative support for the provision of dental care in Defence Primary Healthcare dental centres, to enhance force generation

You will be maintaining the standard and cleanliness of the surgery and accommodation for which you are responsible, reporting any deficiencies in accordance with local protocols.

Job responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities for the role include but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring the surgeries are prepared appropriately for the days patients in accordance with current regulations.
  • Carrying out and recording daily maintenance, servicing and pre-user checks of dental equipment reporting defects in accordance with current equipment care policies, completing daily forms for all equipment.
  • Ensuring a daily test radiograph is taken and processed with all findings reported in accordance with extant policies and signed off by a clinician or trained individual.
  • Maintaining the standard and cleanliness of the surgery and accommodation for which they are responsible, reporting any deficiencies in accordance with local protocols.
