Job summary

We are seeking a Band 7 Clinical Pharmacist, to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team at a General Practice (GP)delivering primary healthcare pharmacy services across 2 dispensaries in the Catterick Medical Centre(s).

This is a permanent part time position, offering 32 hours weekly across 5 days.

Main duties of the job

As the successful post holder, you will be the pharmacist within the Catterick Medical Centre(s) and act as the professional lead and line manager for the 4 Pharmacy Technicians (Band 5s) that work across the 2 sites. This will be until the Catterick Integrated Care Centre (CICC) is complete in 2024/25 after which all Dispensary staff will be at the new site with intermittent time at the satellite dispensary.

Job responsibilities

Primary duties will include but not be limited to:

  • The post holder will work closely with and be accountable to the Senior Medical Officer to ensure that Pharmacy services are safe and effective.
  • You will be responsible for planning and managing the Dispensaries and the Pharmacy Technician outputs across the Catterick Garrison Dispensaries highlighting shortfalls to the Senior Medical Officers at both Catterick Medical Centres or Regional Head Quarters (RHQ) as required.
  • As the successful post holder you will work closely with all members of the multi-disciplinary team and will play an integral role in the operational/strategic development of the service.
