We are looking to recruit a dynamic, organised and enthusiastic Band 5 Exercise Rehabilitation Instructor who will be working within our team located at the McNaughton House, Rawlinson Road, Aldershot, Hampshire.

This position offering 37.5 hours per week. Requests to work flexibly and/or part time will be considered taking into account business needs.

Main duties of the job

As the successful candidate, you will be working within the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Programme (DMRP) providing a high standard of exercise based rehabilitation including highly specialist work in the musculo-skeletal/sports and training injury area for the PAR, meeting Standards for Better Health by using a multidisciplinary approach.

You will provide full support to the line manager in ensuring the provision of a comprehensive and professional rehabilitation service for entitled personnel. This will include undertaking highly skilled and specialist work, peer review and support to Junior/other ERIs working within the Unit.

The ERI will work as part of a multidisciplinary primary healthcare team within the Group Practice delivering general medical services and elements of occupational health to military personnel and trainees; the Group Practice is formed of two sites (also at Minley) and there is an expectation the ERI will be required to work across both sites

  • To provide clinical reports to assist in the comprehensive discharge planning for both referring source and ongoing patient care under other health professionals.
