Job summary

The post holder will be one of a team of CHIS team members who manage Child Health Information to provide high quality child health administration, data support and services for health care professionals within NHS England), Provider services, GP practices, Public health agencies, other outside agencies and parents.

Main duties of the job

To accurately record immunisation data for 0-19 year olds

To accurately record births and create new referrals to Health Visiting Service

To proactively follow up incomplete immunisation histories.

Requirement to work on a Saturday on a rota basis.

Job responsibilities

The Child Health Information services (CHIS) team member plays a key role in the Child Health function supporting the delivery of a high quality service to customers, in line with the Child Health Service Specification and the national Commissioning Intelligence Framework.

The post holder will be one of a team of CHIS team members who manage Child Health Information and work to provide high quality child health administration, data support and services for health care professionals within NHS England, Provider services, GP practices, Public health agencies, other outside agencies and parents.

The post requires inputting data and carrying out crucial data quality checks that support the Child Health service outputs and following systems that promote & support the continued development and improvement of data quality across Child Health services.

The role requires developing expertise in CHIS IT systems (CHISS) and providing support to the preparation and presentation of data and reports.

The post holder will be responsible for maintaining up to date Child health data records and office systems to include post, filing, stock control, equipment maintenance and for ensuring Child Health data is effectively processed and quality assured in accordance with NHS policies and procedures to facilitate timely and accurate reporting of Child Health activity.

Most roles in SCW operate between 9am-5pm, Monday-Friday, with the opportunity to cover an occasional Saturday morning shift 9am-12 noon.

*Please note, SCW staff that are in posts considered to be agile will not be expected to attend office space for general working but will be required on occasions to attend face to face meetings and collaborative working sessions that may require travel to their home base. SCW has offices based across England.
