Job summary

The purpose of the Data Visualisation and Automation Lead is to lead on delivery of visualisations and quality assurance to support programmes developed by SCW.

The role is also responsible for the delivery of automation projects within the innovation team. This will involve working with the Head Data Architect to determine the technical feasibility of automation proposals and delivery of projects from proof of concept through to project completion.

Main duties of the job

  • The post holder will be responsible for the design, creation and maintenance of data visualisation solutions spanning all innovation programmes.
  • The post holder will lead on innovation solutions to support automation and efficiency savings across the NHS.
  • The post holder will provide analytical expertise to provide quality assurance to the outputs from the innovation department, and act lead on the assurance work.
  • The post holder will seek to develop new visualisation projects and methods that could be adopted wider in SCW as new business as usual processes
  • The post holder will present complex information to a wide customer base and promote the use of innovative processes.

About us

The Innovation Team is a small agile team supporting the Digital and Data directorate leading on the analytical assurance of programmes and projects managed by the innovation department. Provide quality assurance of innovation products and lead on the development and delivery of automation solutions.

Job responsibilities

  • Subject matter expert on methods to improve value, supporting both core teams and customers, and new customers and projects
  • Develop a portfolio of scalable BI tools and methods to support NHS initiatives to improve value, including QIPP and Right Care, building on generic methods such as benchmarking, horizon scanning and scenario modelling.
  • Undertake complex and innovative analytics for customers and internal stakeholders, presenting results to a wide range of audiences
  • As part of a wider CSU team, support delivery of tools and methods, and evaluation and benefits realisation of Right Care
  • Lead on the automation programmes of the Innovation department
  • Work across SCW and our partners to identify opportunities to improve efficiencies and reduce waste
