Main duties of the job

The post holder is responsible for supporting and managing procurement process in accordance with local instructions, policies, and Standing Financial Instructions. This includes raising purchase orders, preparing competitive quotations, and carrying out analysis work but also support tasks for the wider procurement team. The post holder will deliver excellent, responsive customer service to both internal and external clients assisting them with their procurement needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Day to day procurement/buying activities.
  • support the team with the management of projects, gathering information and undertaking enquires as and when is necessary
  • Supporting the Deputy Procurement Manager with day-to-day queries and the preparation of management and customer reports.

The Role - The primary aim of the Buyer role is to help the Procurement team achieve best value for both SCW and its' clients by undertaking a number of purchasing, data analysis and administrative roles whilst providing excellent customer service.

Individual would be part of the NHS family, working within the SCW Tactical Procurement team.
