We are looking for a Digital Transformation Consultant and welcome applications from a highly experienced digital transformation professionals with a desire to work within the NHS. You will ensure value for public money and help to improve outcomes for patients through innovative, efficient and robust delivery of consultancy assignments, programme management, leadership, and subject matter expertise within digital transformation.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for:
- Leadership and delegated ownership of change and transformation projects/programmes to agreed time, quality and cost.
- Deputising, where relevant and appropriate, for the Transformation Director holding the Digital Transformation Portfolio.
- Working in partnership with senior health and care stakeholders to implement government policy.
- The planning, monitoring and control of programmes of work for multiple programmes and assignments using programme management methodologies e.g., MSP.
- The planning, monitoring and control of projects and consultancy assignments using project management methodologies e.g. PRINCE2, Agile, APM, relevant and scaled to the activity.
- Leading and motivating project teams drawn from across the SCW footprint and from multiple external partners/stakeholders.
- The postholder will directly manage people within a matrix environment working closely with other assignment and Career Managers. This will include the management of specialist resource outside of their own area of expertise and large delivery teams. They will manage team performance and undertake line management responsibilities in line with SCW policies.
- Ensuring effective, high quality, stakeholder management and communications in complex and politically sensitive environments.
- Working in partnership with the appropriate teams, resource planning and identifying interdependencies.
- Identifying new business opportunities and winning new work for SCW.
About us
This role sits within the Transformation Directorate, which has approximately 250 people working across a range of professional disciplines within the transformation and consultancy space. The post holder will be allocated a Career Development Manager to support them pastorally and to support them on their career journey and they will report into an Assignment Manager for each project they are assigned to.
The post holder will play an essential part in the effective delivery of impactful projects and consultancy assignments across health and care.
