Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Digital Data and Technology team, for a full-time Technical Consultant. We are looking for an enthusiastic, tenacious and detail oriented individual to help support and maintain our systems across the south of England

The post holder will be responsible for contributing to the provision of an efficient, effective, high quality, professional IT Operations capability that continues to meet all statutory, regulatory and NHS requirements ensuring alignment with the activity of the organisation.

Main duties of the job

  • Will be responsible for ensuring the provision of an efficient, effective, high quality, professional and well-co-ordinated Systems Operations capability that continues to meet all statutory requirements.
  • As a member of the networks team, you will manage resolution of customer fault tickets in a timely manner to meet KPI's.
  • The holder of the role will be expected to mentor and lead junior members of the Team.
  • Promote best operational practices of a scale environment.

About us

The network team sits within the IT Service and Technology Management of SCW providing support across multiple NHS organisations in the South of England. Working within a team of 60+ skilled network and systems engineers and consultants, the post holder would report to a Networking team lead and would be focussing on efficient and effective resolution of service calls/requests, delivery of customer facing and internal IT projects, as well as forging positive working relationships within a fast paced multidisciplinary team.

Please note:- The successful candidate will need to have access to their own transport or be able access other modes of transport and can ensure they can committed to attending customer sites reliably and regularly.

Furthermore, as part of this role there will be a requirement to undertake light manual handling duties, where necessary and practicable, to restore operational service to the customer's expectation.
