Job summary

We are looking for an experienced Procurement Officer to deliver our strategic procurement service for our customers.

You will contribute significantly to the delivery of procurement projects within key markets.

Main duties of the job

You will work as part of a dynamic specialist Clinical Procurement and Market Management team within the Operations Directorate of the AGCSU. You will be responsible for specific projects that will support the Service Lead for Clinical Procurement and Market Management in delivering an effective and efficient service against the agreed work plan and key performance indicators.

The specific requirements of this role are as follows:

o To support the delivery of clinical procurements (low/medium complexity) within a portfolio of projects/programme that delivers high value, improved patient care and cost efficiency savings across the CSU customer baseo Delivering tenders or mini competitions in line with specific work planrequirementso Use of e-tendering tools to support procurements and to become an expert within this fieldo Ensure accurate and open communication and co-ordination with a range of organisations and individuals, researching and drafting correspondence and papers and ensuring the management of specific tasks, lead reporting and analysis across a range of specialties, functions and projectso Participate in relevant internal and external working groups/projects, services, and initiatives which may be complex, sensitive, political, and contain contentious information with the aim of providing information and analytical advice to the teams.o Required to maintain constructive relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
