Job summary
Would you like to work on the delivery of new technologies to GP practices. With this role you will get involved with a large scale domain migration for circa 3500 devices and users. Your work would be to help improve the technology used and improve efficiencies of clinicians delivering vital primary care to patients.
We have an exciting opportunity within the IT Project team for a Data Migration Engineer. The role will work actively within the project team.Data security will be an integral part of the role helping the practices to work with modern technology.

Main duties of the job
To conduct the migration of data from one platform to another and resolve any ad-hoc queries relating to data integrity.
Prepare data for migration to ensure foundations are set for the new environment.
Use of a data migration software tool.
Configuration of SharePoint target environment setup according to customer requirements. User access to the new environment following role-based access control and information governance guidelines.
Communication with all users and project stakeholders will include practice managers and clinicians.
The point of contact for all data migration concerns for all sites and users on the projects. Handover of sites and training for staff onsite.
Good record keeping to ensure project is delivered on time.
About us
You will be working with a dedicated project team to facilitate technology improvements to GP practices. You will work as part of a team of technicians to migrate data for on premises storage to cloud solution technology to support on the GP practice staff and work as seamlessly as possible. This will be a varied role with every site presenting different and new challenges to over come technically, with help and support of the rest of the project team and wider AGEM CSU IT Services staff.
You will receive at least 27 days holiday entitlement Per annum.
