Job summary

The CSU Secondary Care Application Service is responsible for specialised application management resource and expertise to ensure the successful delivery of large and/or complex and high profile contracts ensuring that services are delivered within agreed SLA's, within contractual budget and are achieving the required benefits.

The Secondary Care Applications team are looking to strengthen their delivery of services to clients; and in doing so we are looking to recruit a Secondary Care Applications Delivery Manager to join and lead the existing team.

The Secondary Care Applications Delivery Manager will be required to manage and deliver multiple strategically important contracts specifically One Health & Care contracts; to develop effective work schedules to enable operational planning, delivery and progress reporting; liaise with client leads, CSU Colleagues and collaborative partner organisations as appropriate, and ensure contractual obligations are achieved.

The successful candidate will have excellent organisational and communication skills; good general knowledge and understanding of the NHS and will ideally have worked in an IT environment with Specialist knowledge of application management in the NHS, especially clinical applications, and services such as One Health & Care.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for the successful delivery of various contracts of strategic importance to client organisations. You will need to be an experienced and proven Service Delivery Manager with experiencing of planning and developing Schedules of work including allocation of resources and the management of budgets.

The post holder will lead and manage a team of staff ensuring that Services are managed and delivered successfully to contractual specifications and to agreed SLA's. You will be comfortable engaging constructively with technical, non-technical, clinical and corporate colleagues both within the CSU and partner / client organisations.

Experience of writing reports, business cases and new business proposals will be a key requirement of the post.
