Job summary

Band 8b to Band 8c - dependant on experience

You will be working within Analytics and Modelling Team alongside other analysts, as well as colleagues within other teams within the unit. You will lead and deliver stand alone analytical projects as well as leading analytical components of complex mixed methods work programmes.

Main duties of the job

As an Analytics Manager you will have experience in designing, managing and delivering complex and large scale analytical projects, You will work closely with those that commission or sponsor our work and will be responsible for developing detailed analytical proposals that responds to a clients needs.

We are committed to open-source reproducible analytical pipelines to ensure the methods are shared widely across the NHS, including sharing code and transferring skills to national and local teams.

You will be a valued member of the Strategy Unit team, supporting the development of our services, systems, strategy, and reputation for excellence.

Our team is increasingly diverse and geographically widespread. We are based in central Birmingham but have a hybrid model of working for team members. This means that there is no minimum requirement for working from the office. We have quarterly whole-Unit away days that we do expect everyone to attend, to share and learn, usually held in Birmingham. We also plan to hold occasional team days in order to bring the team together, focused on our team development and future planning. Some projects require us to travel to locations across the country occasionally.
