Job summary
We are seeking a full time, motivated and experienced Business Support Officer to join our Merseyside team at Midlands and Lancashire Commissioning Support Unit (MLCSU). You will be working as part of a team, supporting the Personalised Continuing Healthcare Team with a variety of administrative tasks. The role will carry with it a varied workload and competing deadlines, so you will be able to use your own initiative and prioritise, although you will have access to relevant supervision and support.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide business support to the CHC service and be responsible for dealing with patient CHC eligibility outcomes. The post holder will also provide general corporate support and ensure all CSU governance and administrative processes are transacted appropriately and accurately at a local level.The post holder will provide administrative support, including CHC queries, checking consistency of information, letters, reports, maintaining accurate records.The post holder will also provide direct admin support to the Clinical team e.g. minute taking, document management and filing, liaising with external Health and Social Care professionals on meetings and priority agenda items. This role will be part of a professional, high quality and effective and flexible team.

Prioritise own workload to meet conflicting deadlines and be able to deal with unpredictable interruptionsPlan for known situations and be able to re-prioritise work to accommodate unexpected situations.Ensure a high quality and timely word processing service is provided (utilising all Microsoft Office packages) when producing correspondence, reports, emails, presentations, spreadsheets etc and ensuring correct corporate branding is utilised and corporate standards are adhered to at all times.Responsible for compiling, preparing and producing agendas, reports and papers for meetings as required, taking formal and informal minutes/action notes and distributing them where appropriate across the CSU and CCGs and externally as required. Ensure any actions are followed up.Create and maintain databases, spreadsheets and reports as required to assist the Eligibility Ratification process.To ensure the maintenance of accurate and efficient filing systems, including both paper and computer systems ensuring strict confidentiality of information.To take minutes of all relevant meetings including Ratification Panel meetings and prepare related documentation.To arrange and organise meetings/workshops including booking venues and equipmentSupport the Business Support Manager in the development and maintenance of all business operational systems and processes.To maintain standard business operational procedures for the Merseyside CHC Team to ensure that business continuity is sustained.To recommend appropriate administrative systems to support all contract management activities.
