The post holder will support the Quality team in the achievements of their goals to secure improvements in health outcomes, providing quality assurance, reducing inequalities and improving patient experience within the Cervical Screening Administration Service (CSAS).

The post holder will have responsibility for monitoring quality across 2 sites and will report to the Quality Team Manager. The individual is required to be able to work on their own initiative and as part of a team. This role requires accuracy and attention to detail and the ability to interact with people across the organisation at various levels. The post requires excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to coach and provide feedback to colleagues.

This role is on a seconded basis for 6 months based at the Lister House office in Leeds or Falcon House Preston.

This role will be responsible for:

Monitoring quality of work carried out within the CSAS service as part of a Team of Quality Advisors

Highlighting issue which might affect the quality of the service through trends and themes

Contribute to Team Meetings and huddles

Participate in quality feedback sessions and have the ability to explain the reasoning for decisions made using coaching style communication

Support the service to achieve and maintain excellent quality standards

  • Experience of using Microsoft office systems including Word, Excel and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, NHAIS, Open Exeter or other IT systems as a key part of a day-to-day role
  • Experience of customer case handling and administrative processing experience in screening related or other key services where customers and achievement of defined SLAs are important
  • Experience in analysing and interpretation of complex data
  • Experience in using and relational databases and analytical tools
  • Experience working as part of a team ideally in an information setting
  • Excellent communication skills (internal and external customer focus) including an excellent standard of written and spoken English

Desirable

  • Knowledge of information reporting tools

  • Good standard of general education 5 GCSE or equivalent including Mathematics & English
  • NVQ Level 4 or equivalent experience

Desirable

  • Understand principles of population based screening programmes in the UK
