We are looking for a highly experienced and talented Data Architect to join our data and digital team. The Data Architect role is pivotal to the development and design of the NECS data infrastructure and associated technologies, tools and solutions. Working closely with stakeholders including internal and external customers, you will provide expert guidance on data architecture and support the provision of information and intelligence throughout NECS.
This is an exciting opportunity at NECS and will include evaluating new technologies to enhance our capabilities. By helping to shape our services, you'll have the opportunity to be at the forefront of digital transformation in NECS the NHS and the public sector.
Main duties of the job
Main duties of the Job / Responsibilities:
Lead the implementation of database applications ensuring appropriate documentation is in place, back-out plans are agreed and where required risk assessments are undertaken.
Liaise with external system suppliers during the implementation of new solutions and to ensure systems are appropriately maintained.
Oversee the configuration and maintence of SQL databases and servers.
To plan, design, develop and review databases to hold highly complex and sensitive data whilst maintaining the integrity of the data at all times.
Ideal Candidate:
Experience in designing database architecture in a complex environment.
In depth experience in design and modelling of complex data systems.
Proven track record in the provision of data warehouse systems.
