Job summary
An exciting acting up opportunity has arisen within the Health and Justice Information Systems (HJIS) team in the role of Senior Project Manager to support the deployment of a single clinical system across the non-custodial estate within the Yorkshire and Humber region. This will cover liaison and diversion, mental health treatment requirement and Reconnect services.
Working to the HJIS Deputy Programme Manager, the SPM is responsible for planning and managing the implementation of designated systems, projects and supporting processes using structured project management methodologies. They must act as subject matter expert on all aspects of the relevant project, supporting the HJIS Programme Manager and the Project Team to ensure that the work stream of programmes are planned and managed effectively, whilst taking the lead in ensuring their successful delivery.
This is a highly specialised role requiring in-depth knowledge of both the clinical system in use in prisons (the prison version of SystmOne), the mental health version of SystmOne, and also a full knowledge of custodial and non-custodial healthcare processes and working practices in relation to patient information and SystmOne functionality. The role covers a large geographic area i.e. the Yorkshire and Humber region and regular travel across this region is required. This is a niche role and with specific experience required.

Main duties of the job
This role will be responsible for:
Planning and managing the implementation of designated systems / projects and supporting processes within the target Health and Justice areas, in line with the agreed local programme implementation plan and the national strategy.
Acting as process and subject matter expert on all aspects of the relevant project, supporting and contributing to the overall delivery of the project.
Ensuring effective stakeholder management with the organisations and groups affected by the implementation of enabling technologies, create and maintain strong and effective stakeholder relationships in order to proactively drive a professional service.
Attending national forums to discuss the projects with governmental and other arms-length bodies
Supporting target users in preparing to migrate management processes to electronic systems or from one system to another.
Identifying best practice for system use and preparing detailed technical communications to support this.
This role offers hybrid working, and the successful candidate will work from a mixture of home, NECS offices and customer locations.
