Job summary

Our digital, data and technology specialists work with internal teams in NECS and external customers to drive forward the technology agenda within health and care and is key to NECS strategic plan. This focus means that we are currently looking to grow our data and digital development team. We are looking for individuals who can bring new ideas, foster and drive forward a collaborative culture and who can lead and embed agile working practices. Achieving our vision and the momentum we have started requires an individual who is committed, passionate and can bring creative ideas and nurture them to fruition and delivery.

Main duties of the job

Leading the delivery of NECSs Data and Digital Application programmes ensuring they meet the requirements of external and internal customers.

Developing and maintaining excellent relationships with a range of customers as an integral part of their role.

Engaging with a variety of clinical, operational and managerial experts within the NHS, displaying skills of effective listening, understanding and interpreting highly complex issues and use good business language.

Presenting confidently to a wide and large group of stakeholders.

Providing consultancy services to our customers helping diagnose and transform their solutions.

Exceeding customer expectations securing repeat business and new opportunities.

The programme lead will oversee the strategic development within their specialist area and be responsible for driving sales and engagement and or lead and deliver highly complex client programmes.

Providing leadership to operational and delivery based roles, you will be accountable for customer satisfaction and sales within your portfolio. It is expected that the Programme Lead will actively generate opportunities and leads for future work through the ongoing development of a professional network of contacts across the health and care system and ensures that these opportunities and leads are tracked on the pipeline and followed up as appropriate.

As a driven innovator, you will be at the forefront of national and regional policy in your specialist area, generating to thought leadership in this field and provide the highest quality services to our customers.

Programme Leads manage a range of client engagements, including commercial relationships with a range of partner organisations. The post holder will provide leadership and will be highly regarded line managers, coaches and mentors. Programme Leads may need to work collaboratively with other Heads of Service and Product Owners to ensure team-wide success.

Programme Leads will support the life cycle of engagement with their client base and will be involved in developing areas such as data management, digital solutions including robotics process automation, strategy and innovation, new product and service development.

The post holder will be responsible for the day to day management and co-ordination of a team, encouraging and motivating individuals, providing leadership focus and support.

The postholder will report to the Head of Data and Digital Applications for the delivery of all assignments and projects.

  • In depth specialist professional knowledge across a number of disciplines, for example, financial management, performance management, information systems, staff management acquired through training and experience over an extended period.
  • Advanced theoretical and practical knowledge acquired to Doctorate level degree or equivalent experience.

  • Substantial consulting experience in one of the areas outlined below or equivalent experience within the public or private sector working with clients and organisations:
  • 1. A large consultancy firm working on projects in the NHS and Public sector assignments.
