Job summary

Chainbridge Medical Partnership are looking to employ a new member to our reception team. We are looking for applicants with a good telephone manner who can work under pressure and enjoy interacting with people. Previous experience would be desirable but is not essential as full training will be provided.

Main duties of the job

The main duties of the role will be answering the telephone to patients and other others contacting the practice, making appointments for GPs, nurses and other attached staff, answering the many patient queries, producing repeat prescriptions for patients and taking a turn on the reception desk.

About us

The practice provides NHS services to 11,300 patients who live in Blaydon, Winlaton, Ryton and the surrounding areas. We work in a purpose-built 8-year-old building adjacent to the shopping centre. The practice team consists of GPs, an Advanced Care Practitioner, Practice Nurses, Health Care Assistants, Pharmacists, Administrators, Secretaries and receptionists as well as a team of attached staff from primary and secondary care.
