JOB PURPOSE
Integrated care systems (ICSs) are partnerships of health and care organisations that come together to plan and deliver joined up services and to improve the health of people who live and work in their area.
They exist to achieve four aims:
- improve outcomes in population health and healthcare
- tackle inequalities in outcomes, experience and access
- enhance productivity and value for money
- help the NHS support broader social and economic development
It is vital to the success of our ICS that there is strong collaboration between the ICB executive teams and the Place based teams, working as one. A central commitment of the ICS is to develop our clinical and care professional leadership, ensuring that the clinical voice is within all decision making and we support our existing and emerging clinical and care professional leaders to ensure our work is supporting the health and wellbeing of our population, through the lens of inequalities. As we move into the new Integrated Care System it is vital that we retain and build on existing clinical leadership.
The role of Locality Quality Lead is intended to ensure a continuation of this integrated approach to local system leadership and to be the connection between Place and the ICB Quality team. The post holder will be a member of the Locality Leadership Team and the NHS GM Wider Leadership Team.
About us
Our NHS People PromiseOur NHS People Promise -the promise we must all make to each other, to worktogether to improve the experience of working in the NHS for everyone. Like manyother employers, NHS GM currently has evidence of unwarranted inequalities in theworkforce, most notably in relation to minoritised ethnic, female and\or disabled staffand their intersectionality. As a result, we will use positive action measures to bringbenefits to our organisation, including a wider pool of talented, skilled and experiencedpeople from which to recruit and a better understanding of the needs of a more diverserange of customers.
