Job summary
We are seeking to recruit two new Locum Consultant General Physicians with an interest in Acute Medicine to develop and lead our acute medical services as we continue to transform acute medicine at Morriston Hospital.
The successful applicants will lead and strengthen our Acute Medical Assessment Unit as we continue to improve, innovate and refine our clinical model.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be required to support out of hours work as a part of an acute physician rota, support the future development of an integrated Same Day Emergency Care service, provide senior clinical leadership to patients in the assessment unit and oversee the medical intake.

- On Specialist Register with GMC as a specialist in Acute Medicine and general internal medicine or eligible for CCT within 6 months of date of interview and have passed exit exam or a statement of eligibility for registration issued by GMC or a primary medical qualification and recognized specialist qualification from a European Member State which will allow direct entry to the GMC Specialist Register
