Clincial Coding Service Improvement Lead

Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Clinical Coding Service, Swansea Bay University Health Board for the permanent position of a Clinical Coding Service Improvement Lead.

The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate strong leadership and service improvement skills and provide evidence of managing successful teams. Having a high level of clinical coding skills.

Main duties of the job

A key requirement of the role is for the post holder to have the ACC Accredited Clinical Coder qualification (UK)

A key requirement for the role is for the post holder to use skills and experience as an accredited Clinical Coder to operationally lead and Improve the Clinical Coding Service.

The post holder will need to have management experience and have excellent management and leadership skills

To be forward thinking, innovative, creative, and to continuously strive to lead and to make service improvements across the Clinical Coding Service.

The post holder will also need to be a champion for digital technology and recognise the value and benefits of digital solutions in supporting the current and future developments of the Clinical Coding Service.
