Gorseinon hospital is a 30 bedded community hospital, which is situated in a village surrounded by beautiful garden and fields, our hospital supports the residents of Swansea, and our patients mainly come from Morriston Hospital following an acute admission.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated HCSW with an interest in elderly care to join our team on West Ward Gorseinon Hospital. We specialise in elderly rehabilitation and enabling our patients is key to facilitate our 'home first' ethos. We have a committed team of Doctors, Nurse's Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Pharmacy staff who work in collaboration for the best outcomes for our patients.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a person with a caring attitude who will support our patients' independence where possible and encourage a 'can do' approach to patient care. Reliability and flexibility with good communication skills is key. Organisational and interpersonal skills with an ability to adapt to change is vital for this role.
The successful applicant will be provided with an allocated buddy and will have an agreed period of induction on a supernumerary basis which will be based on previous experience.
