Are you a dynamic, compassionate, and motivated Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) or trainee ANP with a passion for mental health? Ready to shape the future of outpatient mental health care in Swansea Bay? We have three exciting opportunities for experienced or aspiring ANPs to join our multidisciplinary teams (MDTs) across three well-established CMHT bases: Ty Einon, Tonna, and Area 1 & 2.
Main duties of the job
What You'll Be Doing:
As an ANP, you'll take a lead role in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of individuals accessing mental health services across both primary and secondary care pathways. Working within a vibrant outpatient setting and alongside expert MDTs--including pharmacists, medics, occupational therapists, psychologists, and nurses--you'll deliver evidence-based, person-centred care.
You will demonstrate:
Advanced clinical assessment and decision-making skills
Expertise in risk assessment and management
Confidence in formulating and delivering treatment plans
Experience of working with adults in community mental health settings
These roles are firmly rooted in the four pillars of advanced practice:
Clinical Practice - delivering high-quality, autonomous care
Leadership and Management - contributing to service development and clinical leadership
Education - supporting colleagues, students, and ongoing professional development
Research - embedding evidence-based practice and contributing to service innovation.

- Professional registration (NMC,HCPC) NMC HCPC
- Level 7 Education (Master's Degree) relevant to area of practice.
- In receipt or working toward Independent Authorisation of Blood Products (desirable if relevant to role)
- Evidence of maintaining an Advanced Clinical Practice portfolio
- Advanced specialist knowledge of patient pathways.
- Advanced theoretical knowledge and practical experience to carry out clinical consultation and/or examination relevant to area of practice
- Independent Prescribing qualification (if required for role).

- Management/Leadership qualification or possess equivalent skills and experience.
