The Nutrition and Dietetic Service in SBUHB are looking to recruit Band 5 rotational dietitians to join our progressive and friendly teams.
The post holders will work in a rotational position, across the Swansea Bay area to provide acute, community, adult, paediatric and public health services. Rotations will last for a period of 8 months and new graduates starting work within SBUHB can expect to complete 3 rotations during the 2 years post qualification.
The rotations will be based on service needs but we will, wherever possible try to accommodate work base preferences and areas of clinical interest.
Main duties of the job
The roles will enable you to gain experience of working with both adults and children in a variety of settings, i.e. acute ward settings, out patients, community, care homes and group education programmes. The rotations also include the opportunity to work as part of the public health and Diabetes Prevention teams, delivering training and to support staff education.
You will be able to demonstrate strong communication and team working skills and build a range of clinical experience.
Within SBUHB we have an established Band 5 development programme and you will develop skills in digital and virtual ways of working. You will support service developments and quality improvement activities
You will support the supervision of dietetic assistants, dietetic assistant practitioners and pre-registration student dietitians.
We offer both departmental and personal CPD time to support your development and are committed to the development of evidenced based practice, research and clinical audit. You will be supported in attending relevant professional networking meetings and interest groups.
The Health Board has University status with Colleges of Medicine on site.
