Job summary
A new and exciting opportunity has arisen in Speech and Language Therapy to work within the administration department on a full time basis. This key post will involve the day to day delivery of administrative duties, to support the wider Speech and Language Therapy team. You will work within a robust and supportive team of admin officers and have access to learning and development opportunities. The team are creative, innovative and dynamic with a solution-focused outlook and a passion for service improvement. You will work with a variety of NHS and Local Authority staff, and will therefore need excellent communication skills, and the ability to be flexible in terms of task approach. Main duties of the job
Your time will be split between children's and adult services, with a focus on patient facing duties. This will include answering the telephone to deal with queries, booking appointments, distribution of reports and letters and booking clinical space. Alongside this you will also be involved in data capture, equipment ordering, diary management and supporting meetings. You will need excellent and confident IT skills, as many of our processes are now paperless. You will be expected to attend meetings in order to capture action points and circulate information to other professionals as needed. You will also need to be a resilient team player, who is able to manage demands, work to deadlines and monitor your own workload.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
