If so we would like to hear from you!This post will be based at Morriston hospital with a rotation to Singleton Hospital.Our service offers Radiographers the experience of a wide variety of scanning including specialist neurology, cardiac, musculoskeletal and cancer staging scans.You would be working within a dynamic, enthusiastic team of Radiographers and alongside a team of supportive Radiologists.A structured induction program will be provided for the successful applicant. The health board is committed to the development of radiographers employed within the service.The service operates an extended working day with flexible shift patterns. We support Emergency imaging of patients with an On-call system.A good work life balance is important to us at Swansea Bay UHB however, the opportunity to work additional overtime hours is a possibility.The radiology teams across all our hospital sites are very welcoming to new staff and you would be able to participate in a range of social activities outside the work environment.

Main duties of the job

Swansea Bay University Health Board Radiology services are provided on three main sites: Morriston (Swansea), Singleton (Swansea) and Neath Port Talbot Hospitals.

We are hoping to appoint a Band 6 Diagnostic Radiographers to support Radiology services on the Morriston and Singleton site, joining the busy multidisciplinary teams there. You should be a qualified Diagnostic Radiographer with current HCPC registration. MRI experience is desirable for this role.

This role will predominantly involve rotation through the speciality areas of the department and will include any necessary training, allowing you to complement our existing team. Your duties will incorporate inclusion in the main out-of-hours rota. You should have substantial experience within Radiography, be BSc / DCR qualified, be able to demonstrate evidence of organisational and leadership skills and be able to work both autonomously and as part of a team.

The busy, friendly and supportive Departments within the Health Board perform a wide range of plain film x-ray procedures, Nuclear Medicine, Fluoroscopy, Theatre, MRI and CT. The Department is committed to providing training and development for all staff. All Radiographers are involved with teaching undergraduate student Radiographers from the Cardiff University.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
