Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Operational Maintenance Manager at the Estates Department, Morriston Hospital.
The Operational Maintenance Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of all estates services and staff within the Morriston Estates Unit.
The post holder will provide a safe, secure and pleasant environment for patients, staff and visitors.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be required in the course of their duties to:-
Deputise for the Estates Managers as required.
Take a lead role in the management of Estates staff members.
Ensuring that the Planned Preventative Maintenance programme is maintained and revised on an ongoing basis to meet statutory requirements.
Report departmentalperformance on a monthly basis to the Estates Manager detailing variations in standards and activity.
Advise the Estates Manager of any changes to the condition of the estate.
Act as Authorising Officer and/or AP for delegated activities e.g. Medical gases, LV/HV, Water, Decontamination, Ventilation, Lifts etc
Will be required to be part of an on call out of hours service.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
