Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Band 3 Occupational Therapy Technician to join the Occupational Therapy Team at Caswell Clinic, Bridgend.
This is a permanent, part-time post for 20 hours per week.
We are looking for an excellent communicator who is able to use technical and creative skills to assist in the provision of a flexible, patient centred programme of therapeutic intervention for individuals/groups that experience mental health problems and related risk difficulties
The successful candidate will be required to work as part of the Occupational Therapy team to deliver planned occupational therapy interventions, both within the Caswell Clinic and the local community.

The successful candidate will be required to:
Apply concepts of the management of mentally disordered offenders to all patient related activities, including clinical risk assessment and management.
Maintain public protection by adhering to related security policy and procedures.
Undertake intervention programmes with individual patients as directed by a senior occupational therapist, underpinned by appropriate experience/knowledge.
Maintain clinical records and report accurately to others.
Carry out administrative duties, in relation to departmental/service needs and maintenance of records (paper and electronic) and statistical information.
Agree to complete the Agored Level 3 Diploma qualification for occupational therapy support staff.
