Are you a Dietitian interested in bariatric surgery? Are you looking for a band 6 opportunity to work with the only specialist team in South Wales? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Dietitian with an interest in Weight Management and Bariatric Surgery to work for the Welsh Institute of Metabolic and Obesity Surgery (WIMOS) within Swansea Bay University Health Board.
This is a permanent, full time (working 37.5 hours per week) post and will be based in Morriston Hospital with blended working available.
Main duties of the job
The post would be suitable for a dietitian who has an interest in weight management and behaviour change. They should also have knowledge and experience of working within MDTs.
WIMOS is a multi-professional team providing a specialist bariatric service for people at Level 4 of the All Wales Weight Management Pathway. You will have a varied caseload supporting and preparing bariatric patients prior to their planned surgery as well as monitoring their progress in the post-operative phase supported and managed by a band 7 specialist Dietitian.
We offer departmental CPD time to support your development and are committed to the development of teaching and presentation skills, evidenced based practice, research and clinical audit. You will be supported in attending relevant professional networking meetings and interest groups.
