Job summary

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about delivering a high standard of care. The post holder will work within the Gynaecology department as part of the multi-disciplinary team, ensuring the smooth running of clinics, whilst maintaining high standards of care. They will act as the patient's advocate and ensure privacy and dignity are maintained when dealing with sensitive issues.

Main duties of the job

Responsible for the care and management of patients attending Gynaecology Clinics.

Ensure there is multi professional team working collaboratively to ensure safe standards of care.

Provide professional leadership, management and advice within the service and to take professional responsibility for the designated clinical areas and services.

The post holder will demonstrate a positive attitude in working towards achieving the Health Board's mission to provide a quality service to women and their families in their sphere of responsibility.

Comply with NMC Code and all rules and standards.

Demonstrate clinical leadership and direction, enabling a culture of learning and effectiveness.

Contribute to the development of policies/procedures.

Ensure the Health Board's Infection control policies and procedures are adhered to.

The post holder will be expected to develop and work towards completing competencies to work in nurse led clinics.
