THIS POST IS FIXED TERM/SECONDMENT FOR 12 MONTHS TO MEET THE NEEDS OF THE SERVICE

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a forward thinking, dynamic Directorate Manager to join the Complex Care Team, Mental Health & Learning Disabilities

As Directorate Manager you will be work closely with Associate Service Group Director and be operationally accountable for provision of key services within Complex Care and Long Term Care Service, being accountable and responsible for standards of care, environment of care, patient experience and care outcomes of patients, that we commission services for across a wider range of independent provider settings.

You will promote multi-professional and multi- agency team working to improve patient care pathways, lead and direct staff within the team on commissioning of services to meet the client needs.

You will actively contribute to the delivery of strategic, operational performance targets working within financial resources and ensuring management of resources relating to identified cost savings and efficiency targets and promoting innovative ways of working through further development of Complex and Long Term Care services. A background in management leadership and financial/ budgetary roles would be beneficial.

Main duties of the job

Strategic Management - responsible for development, delivery & monitoring of strategies for the complex care service, focusing on person-centred approaches to care to deliver a service that prioritises the care needs of patients & embodies the principles of prudent healthcare.

Performance Management - operational management, organisational & delivery of Complex Health Care across MH & LD Service Group

Finance Management - working within financial resources, ensuring breakeven on delegated budgets, including monitoring of cost savings & efficiency targets.

Service Delivery & Improvement - review delivery of services within service group & independent sector to maximise efficiency for patients & staff, ensuring effective financial management when commissioning services.

Communication & Engagement - build, maintain strong influential relationships with colleagues, staff, all stakeholders to enable the Service Group to develop a culture of collaborative working & commitment to delivering quality services & outcomes for patients, ensuring the patient's voice is heard.

Information Resources - compliance with policies & procedures and support development of appropriate systems and clear processes to support effective and timely patient flow.

Post holder will be a credible leader, able to direct, lead and empower staff to a high standard of professionalism, efficiency & effectiveness in service delivery & that quality, governance, financial and performance objectives are achieved.
