Job summary
The Colposcopy Department at Singleton Hospital have an excellent opportunity for a Band 5 Registered Nurse to join a highly dynamic team.
We have 2 positions available within our Colposcopy Unit :
1 . Permanent Contract : 30 Hours per week
2. Fixed Term Contract : 37.5 Hours per week for 6 months
The successful applicant will work within this busy clinic in order to build up their experience and skills within this speciality.
Working as part of the colposcopy staff you will support the colposcopist's and other members of the nursing team in providing a high quality service with timely access for colposcopy patients. Acting as the patient's advocate during her colposcopy pathway, promoting the philosophy of women centred care.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant is required to work as part of a multi - disciplinary teamso excellent communication skills are essential. As a team we aim to provide a supportive environment for patients and their relatives when dealing with sensitive and emotional issues.
The successful candidate will need to havea passion for women health. Previous experience in working in colposcopy/gynaecology is desirable but not essential as the department will provideexcellent opportunities for both experienced and newly qualified registered nurses to develop their skills and knowledge across a variety of gynaecology clinics.
The clinics run Monday to Friday therefore flexible working is required. On occasions you may be required to cover clinics in Singleton Hospital.
