Job summary
The post holder will deliver Quality Improvement training to Health Board staff, using the Model for Improvement and other Quality Improvement (QI) methodologies as an integral member of the QSI Hub. The post holder will be an exemplary ambassador for this way of working, demonstrated through their personal approach, their energy, empowerment and enthusiasm.
The post holder will deliver training to both clinical and non-clinical staff of all levels, to embed a culture of continuous improvement. They will support the delivery of change management activities and work closely with teams across the HB to ensure a sustainable delivery of the QI programme.They will utilise advanced skills in training, coaching and mentoring to engage, motivate and empower staff throughout SBUHB toestablish QI methodology within their daily practice by increasing organisational capacity and capability.
Main duties of the job
The Training Facilitator will work with colleagues to develop and deliver QI training and events. This will include:-
- developing and preparing materials for use in training and events.
- co-ordinating training delivery, including arranging speakers as required.
- delivery of training to HB staff and patients.
- review of training in line with national programme changes and feedback from participants.
- overseeing training resources available via the intranet to ensure that they are relevant to training needs.
- prepare and present reports on training outputs and outcomes.
- supporting various clinical and non-clinical staff in the use of QI tools.
- assisting in the development and delivery of QI plans.
- support the delivery of the HB Quality Strategy.
- coaching and mentoring staff to reach their project objectives whilst collaborating with colleagues throughout the organisation to continually ensure robust evaluation of all work programmes.
The post holder's focus will be to support the QSI Academy Training Lead in all training activities whilst also working autonomously on specific allocated projects.
The post holder with need to work on their own initiative and make decisions / provide advice based on SBUHB's Quality Strategy and QI objectives.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
