Job summary
An opportunity has arisen within Swansea Bay UHB for a Band 6 Research Nurse to join the Cancer Research Delivery Team . The post holder will be required to work acrossall hospital sites within health board.
The post holder will contribute to the assessment and management of care pathways for patients participating in cancer clinical trials. This will include the recruitment, education, monitoring of trial patients, the collection and documentation of accurate data and preparation of biological samples.
We are looking to recruit one qualified nurse with experience in cancer and clinical trials with good verbal and written communication and attention to detail.
We are seeking one enthusiastic and well organised individual to work within the Cancer Research Delivery Team at Singleton Hospital Swansea Bay UHB.The post holder will be required to support the co-ordination of an agreed portfolio of research studies across Swansea Bay UHB. A knowledge, experience and interest in the delivery of Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy would be beneficial, but not essential for this post.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will:- Identify and recruit patients for cancer research studies- Provide information and support for those involved in research studies- Maintain research databases in accordance with the relevant research protocols- Produce high quality data collection - Conduct follow-up visits according to study protocols The role is being advertised as a Band 6 Research Nurse.
Applicants would be expected to work across all sites within SBUHB
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
