Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Community Dental Service (CDS) Improvement Oral Health Coordinator/Gwen am Byth programme lead to join the Gwen am Byth team at Swansea Bay University Health Board. This is a part time job share opportunity to supervise and project manage the Gwn am Byth mouthcare programme and other adult oral health initiatives. The post holder will share line management responsibilities for the adult oral health promotion team and will work within the community to provide mouthcare training for staff within care homes, domiciliary care provider settings and the wider community.
Main duties of the job
Specifically the post holder will:
- Implement components of agreed topic based or target group focussed oral health action plans with key partners.
- Develop and maintain strategic partnerships across the statutory, voluntary, private and independent sectors to plan cohesively for oral health improvement.
- Provide leadership and direction for partnership programmes and initiatives to promote oral health and wellbeing across all sectors of vulnerable groups of society.
- Provide specialised advice and expertise on the development of service improvement/oral health strategy, policy and practice.
- It is expected that a significant proportion of time will be developing spread sheets and networking with other sources of information to improve the oral health policy within the CDS and reporting to WG.
