Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Specialist Eating Disorder Service for an experienced and enthusiastic clinician to join our dynamic multi-disciplinary team to help deliver a high quality effective service to individuals with Eating Disorders.
You will be joining a very experienced, multi-disciplinary team of nurses, psychotherapists, psychologists, dietitians, occupational therapists and medical staff. Although you will be part of the Adult Eating Disorder Team, you will work closely with colleagues in Specialist Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services, Adult Primary and Adult Community Mental Health Teams to ensure that individuals experience a seamless and co-ordinated approach to their care.
Previous training in a core profession (such as mental health nursing, psychology, social work, occupational therapy or dietetics) is essential. Previous experience and training in mental health is essential. Previous experience training in Eating Disorder interventions would be beneficial, but is not essential as training will be provided. There is opportunity to specialise in your practice, enhance your skills and develop professionally.
Interested individuals will also be enthusiastic, motivated and committed to driving forwards the continued development of the Specialist Eating Disorder Service.
Main duties of the job
The main duties of this role include managing a caseload, providing assessment and intervention, care coordination under Part 2 of the All Wales Mental Health Measure, advice, consultation and training to colleagues in primary and secondary care.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable but not essential. English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
