Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for an innovative, self-motivated pharmacist, with experience working within mental health & learning disabilities, to join our friendly and progressive pharmacy team at Cefn Coed Hospital.
The role will include provision of specialist clinical pharmacy services to inpatient wards as well as clinical sessions in community based mental health, and primary care teams. We provide services to a wide range of mental health and learning disabilities inpatient wards both on and off site. These include adult, older peoples, rehabilitation, medium and low secure forensic and Learning Disabilities wards. We work closely with community mental health teams, and primary care, offering patient facing clinics and utilising clinical and prescribing skills.
Main duties of the job
We have an exciting opportunity for an innovative, self-motivated pharmacist, with experience working within mental health & learning disabilities, to join the pharmacy service at Cefn Coed Hospital.
The post holder will work with members of the pharmacy team to ensure a high quality, progressive clinical pharmacy service is provided wards and community based mental health and primary care teams. They will also participate in dispensary duties and provide clinical leadership to junior pharmacists and trainees.
In addition, the role will require the ongoing completion of core directorate activities such as reporting and analysis of medicines expenditure, clinical governance and risk management.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
