Job summary

Neath Port Talbot & Singleton Service Group is looking to appoint a Directorate Manager on a 12 month secondment.

This is a fixed term / secondment post for 12 months, due to funding .

If you are a Swansea Bay University Health Board employee this post will only be offered on a secondment basis and you will need to have gained your line managers approval for the secondment prior to going to interview.

The successful post holder will support the leadership and delivery of our Obstetrics and Gynaecology services during a time of significant challenge. The role will support the Divisional Manager, Head of Midwifery and Clinical Lead in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and the Clinical Lead for the Wales Fertility Institute.

The post holder will be accountable for supporting the senior team in driving delivery of improved performance across the service areas in relation to Cancer, waiting times, financial governance and will play a key role in supporting improved governance arrangements across the service.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

The successful post holder will have:

  • A proven track record of successful leadership and service improvement in operational delivery in Secondary care.
  • Experience of building strong and effective working relationships both internally and externally.
  • A desire and commitment to supporting change and will bring people with them.
