The family therapy team form a valued part of the Psychology and Psychological Therapy (P&PT) team, a supportive and expanding team which also consists of psychologists, art therapists, CBT therapists, a play therapist and assistant psychologist. The P&PT team meet regularly for peer supervision and reflective clinical discussions. The team is highly valued by CAMHS colleagues and across the network of children's services.

The post holder will also work closely with the P&PT team and will be accountable to the Lead for this team. Line management and supervision arrangements will depend on the banding and will be discussed and agreed at the time of appointment.

CAMHS and the P&PT team are developing and evolving their ways of working and the post holder will have the opportunity to contribute to this planning and to other service developments. Evidence based practice is supported and value is placed on the provision of practice based evidence. There is an ongoing training strategy within CAMHS and the post holder will be part of delivering this and will have opportunities for their own CPD.

Swansea Bay CAMHS are embedding into the structures in Swansea Bay UHB, and the P&PT team are part of the broader child psychology and psychological therapy department.
