Job summary

The post holder will be expected to play a key role in the verification & delivery of an exceptional service within the Radiotherapy Department. The post holder will be part of the team of radiographers providing care for patients, ensuring the provision of a high quality, patient focused service.

The post holder must ensure they are fully compliant with IR(ME)R regulations, and also the trusts own policies and values.

Main duties of the job

We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Radiographer to join the Radiotherapy team in the South West Wales Cancer Centre. The department is based at Singleton Hospital, Swansea bay University Health Board.An equipment replacement programme is underway.We have four Elekta Linear Accelerators.3 x Elekta Synergy Versa HD with SGRT facility.1 x Elekta Agility Synergy - will be replaced with another Elekta Synergy Versa with SGRT ( Currently being installed )We have 1 x wide bore CT\Simulator with sentinel System and 5 moving lasers.C-rad Surface Guided system has enabled the introduction of DIBH for breast patients.We have an established Review team of Radiographers working with all disciplines in the trust.The Medical Physicsdepartment have Mould room facilities and aprogressive planning department.We actively encourage further education and career progression.The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
