Job summary

The post holder will be a member of the Job Evaluation Team, and maintain the effective running of the service.

They will contribute to the Health Board's requirement to comply with Agenda for Change (AFC) and implement the NHS Job Evaluation Scheme for staff covered by the Agenda for Change Terms & Conditions of Service Handbook.

Main duties of the job

  • Co-ordinate and arrange Job Matching, Job Evaluation, Consistency Checking and Refresher training for staff within Swansea Bay UHB.
  • Co-ordinate arrangements for training such as room bookings, IT equipment, maintain delegate register and refreshments if appropriate.
  • Following training, undertake the QA process on submitted job descriptions, ensuring that they are fit for purpose and are suitable for submission to matching panel.
  • Following CAJE Administrator training, and when deemed competent, pre-load information into the CAJE System prior to panels convening.
  • Adhere to strictest confidentiality relating to all AFC activities.
  • When matching has been undertaken, attach the appropriate CAJE reference to the job description and add the job description to the CAJE system.
  • Ensure secure and safe storage of all AFC information and data in accordance with Data Protection and Information Governance protocols.

  • Level 3 Qualification or possess equivalent skills, knowledge and experience
  • Fully conversant with all Microsoft Office software e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge and experience of office procedures.
  • Knowledge and understanding of confidentiality and data protection, and health and safety regulations.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of the NHS Job Evaluation Scheme.
  • CAJE System Administrator.
  • Job Matching Training.

Experience

Essential

  • Experience of working to office practices and ability to establish new processes.
  • Experience of using Excel spreadsheets and databases to record and retrieve information.

Desirable

  • Previous NHS experience.
