Job summary
The Gynaecology Department at Singleton Hospital have an excellent opportunity for a Band 5 Registered Nurse to join a highly dynamic team.
To work within the gynaecology department as part of the multi-disciplinary team, ensuring the smooth running of clinics, whilst maintaining high standards of care. Act as the patients advocate whilst dealing with sensitive issues.
Main duties of the job
We have a wide variety of general gynaecology clinics which include uro-gynae, fertility, rapid access, emergency gynaecology and a nurseledearly pregnancy clinic. The gynaecology team are looking to develop a more ambulatory service which will also include out-patient hysteroscopy.
The successful applicant is required to work as part of a multi - disciplinary teamso excellent communication skills are essential. As a team we aim to provide a supportive environment for patients and their relatives when dealing with sensitive and emotional issues.
The successful candidate will need to havea passion for women health. Previous experience in working in gynaecology is desirable but not essential as the department will provideexcellent opportunities for both experienced and newly qualified registered nurses to develop their skills and knowledge across a variety of gynaecology clinics.
The clinics run Monday to Friday therefore flexible working towards the needs of the service is required.
