Job summary

An exciting opportunity has become available within theatres busy supplies and procurement team.

The position is for a band 3 assistant commodities coordinator. The successful applicant will be required to be organised, motivated and have excellent commination skills. They will have experience in the use of internal ordering systems i.e. Oracle and Omnicell.

The successful applicant will be required to work as part of the commodities team and provide support to theatre supplies assistants.

Main duties of the job

The post holder is required to order, receive, process and distribute stock and nonstock items for the Operating Department.The post holder provides procurement support to the Speciality Managers and Theatre Matrons.The post holder is required to input and access data into the Computerised Ordering System.The post holder will have supervisory responsibility for Theatre Supplies Assistant staff.The post holder will have a base hospital and can expect to work across any of the hospital sites when requested.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
